Tasks:
1- Supervising the completion of activities in relation to quality in coordination with quality unit officials in the colleges.
2- Preparing and disseminating the university quality assurance council's memorandums, to all faculties in order to implement their instructions.
3- Follow up and update the university's strategy in light of developments and advances to enhance and update higher education strategies.
4- Follow up the implementation of the university's plan concerning academic accreditation programs that enhance the quality of the educational process at the university.
5- Follow up and preparation of files and forms for the national classification for the quality of Iraqi universities, supplement of the results and supervise the preparation of improvement plans that follow-up on their implementation.
6- Dispersion the culture of quality through holding seminars and workshops by the department and in cooperation with training and technical support division.
7- Implementing the rules and procedures for periodic control and follow-up in order to achieve quality assurance standards and contribute to the preparation of self-assessment reports.
8- Suggesting and following up university performance standards and quality control for the components of the educational process in relation to the university professor, curricula, laboratories, infrastructure of the university and its students.
9- Communicating with institutions specialized in setting quality standards for the academic institution for supervising the exchange of information with specialized educational authorities, comparing the standards applied in their universities with what is applied in them, and applying the best strategy to achieve those standards.
10- Suggesting and setting the procedures, rules and guides to develop and improve attitude that contributes to ensure the quality of the university's performance.
